Ctrl-D and then a pulldown menu worked. Then select a folder. (SOme years ago, in FF as well as in Safari, the menu would automatically place your bookmark in the most recent folder if you did not specify otherwise. Now you have to sepcify Every. Damm. Time.) The past week, it is not an anomaly or occasional: Every. Damm. Time. I now also have to press Ctrl-D twice (or three times). Or click the bookmark star twice - or three times. Only and ONLY THEN will it give me the pulldown menu for which bookmarks folder to select. Pulldown menus in general - e.g. having to scroll through a menu of states intead of just TYPING "OR" or "WA" - seem to have been programmed by nasties who wish to make life more difficult in small, numerous, and frequent increments. But the bookmarking is over the line. It needs to be ONE action to select bookmarks. Then ONE action to select the destination folder.
