Can I use "firefox sync" on a secure network

I work on a secure network, isolated from the internet. Firefox installs OK from a USB stick and works without problems. There are many installations of firefox on different servers and workstations. Firefox sync does not work because it can't reach the cloud. Is it possible to create our own cloud to sync passwords across the system?
