I cannot be sure, but I imagine that Android 6 will still be supported for a couple of years.

It is tricky question but it would interesting to get some info from the developers. My old Nexus 7 is working well and I am tempted to replace the battery.

Firefox for Android is for the foreseeable future going to be able to run on a Android 6 device. The minimum is Android 5, and that is over five years old.
