Security Error

more options

When I use firefox and go to "https://mediacomcable.com" then click on "MY ACCOUNT" it pops up with a button "MEDIACOM ID". When selected it redirects me to ans https://sso.mediacoms...." web site. this redirect gives the error

"An error occurred during a connection to sso.mediacomcable.com. Cannot communicate securely with peer: no common encryption algorithm(s).

Error code: SSL_ERROR_NO_CYPHER_OVERLAP"

performing the same steps with Microsoft/Windows Edge works fine giving the prompts for logging in

I cannot find this error in any of the mozilla documents.

Any great ideas? Thanks Paul Davidson

Chosen solution

After much testing I have found my own solution. The mediacom sso website fails when in a private window. I had the "always use Private Browsing turned on."

I have the same problem with the same website and this did not solve my problem. update edit: Problem was BitDefender antivirus. Mediacom is the only website I have had a problem with since I switched from Avast about 4 months ago.
