Whenever I view a page source on Firefox, it then will not allow any other pages to load. They just spin. Once I restart FF, I can go to new pages. Is this a known issue?

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link}

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

Hi DirCat, I have not heard of that problem before, but I wanted to suggest a test:

View Source actually does a fresh retrieval from the server, so this might be an issue with the new request hanging up for some reason.

To view the modified source of the page (i.e., the source after scripts in the page have modified the content), you can select all (Ctrl+a), then right-click somewhere and View Selected Source. That is a bit slow to render on heavy pages, but as far as I know, it doesn't require any network request.

Do those work better, worse, the same?

I've tried both going to safe mode and (after restarting) viewing selection source before trying to trigger the error again. Neither triggered it.

Then I restarted FF and tried doing the error then. It still didn't trigger.

I don't know if there's a step I'm missing that causes it or not. I think I'm going to have to make sure I watch to see what I am doing that's triggering it.

Try the Firefox version from the official Mozilla server if you currently use a version from the repositories of your Linux distribution.
