No bookmarks, need non-geek answer

For about the 4th time, FF automatically installed a NEW VERSION on my computer and said version did NOT import the bookmarks etc. from the older version. Rather than running through 35 - 50 files suggested by 10 different sources, I need a single, concise answer on how to get my bookmarks from the old version into the new version. Any answer that refers me to FF stuff is totally unacceptable (I am NOT a computer geek) - I'm having enough trouble finding this particular page/area. Point me to a SPECIFIC FILE and tell me exactly what to do with it. Thank you in advance (maybe).
