My firefox is NOT syncing at all. I disconnected and reconnected already. I have signed in and out just fine I assume since it says firefox will begin to sync in a moment. however none of my bookmarks have resynced, none of my passwords, my address, nothing has seemed to transfered over. I recently got a ssd and installed windows on it.

I even went to about:sync-log and there is literally nothing there..

Is Sync working on any other devices?

If that is the only device that has ever been connected to your Sync account you were miss-using Sync. Sync is not intended for backup purposes with a single device.

The problem with using it in that manner usually turns out to be that the user reset their Sync / Firefox Account password, which clears all data for that account on the Sync server. Sync data is encrypted via the original password and that data can't be decrypted with a different password. thus the data is useless and is cleared so the account can get a fresh load of data allowing the user to keep using their Firefox Account.

no I have gotten sync to work multiple times, across various devices and computers, even when i visited a library firefox sync worked perfect there. its just this one particular time it just flat out nor working. I do not believe I reset my password anytime recently either as I have basically been using it the entire time. I also did not reset my password anytime before disconnect my HDD and plugged in my SSD and turning on firefox sync again on this pc.

Also if I go into my firefox sync settings. it lists several devices as well. so i am pretty sure I didnt reset my account

I am literally having the SAME EXACT problem! Down to the about:sync-log being completely empty

SteWieH thanks for sharing the sync log. I'm not sure what would have caused it to appear empty initially.

The log appears to show a successful sync, with at least some items being fetched from the remote server. Can you please let us know whether your bookmarks were eventually synced down now that it seems to be syncing?

it never synced anything and when that did "sync" it just synced some brand new bookmarks I had made like ten minutes ago.

I honestly gave up on firefox syncing and plugged in my old hard drive, extracted my local and roaming firefox folders and imported them over
