I cannot attach the Mendely Web Importer in Firefox.

As a student, I use Mendeley to reference my research papers. To facilitate this process, Mendeley has a web importer that I must download and the button goes on the tool bar of my browser. I once had it on Firefox as this is my preferred browser, however it has been quite a while that I have made several attempts to install this to Firefox but it does not complete the process. Have since installed it to Chrome, so I am not sure what the problem is. Please advise.
