Firefox crashes

While browsing, doing school work, or streaming video Firefox will stop responding. There will be a small white ribbon at the top of every window opened saying, "Mozilla Firefox (not responding)." Sometimes waiting for more than one or three minutes it will respond. But it usually does it again and again until it completely stops responding. A forced shutdown through the task manager is the only way to shut down Firefox. Then I restart it and restore my previous session. This is unacceptable as I use Firefox to take tests and quizzes which can only be logged into and completed once. Firefox is beginning to affect my schooling. I have gone through so many trouble shooting steps I'm done with it.

I am using McAfee, AVG, and Super Anti Spyware at the same time. If I use Internet Explorer, I have no problems but, I do not like I.E., Chrome, or Edge. Please advise.

That message sometimes means the computers CPU is being overworked.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac=Options)
key, and then starting Firefox. A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh).

Is the problem still there?
