Cannot send email with attachment. Get "We encountered a technical Issue. Please try again." message. Have AOL email, use Firefox as Webmail/browser

I have Firefox 49.0.1. I am Mac OS El Capitan. I have an AOL email address, but sign in using Firefox. Firefox is my browser. I was able to send emails with attachments no problem last week, but now I can't. I get the error message noted above in my question. I have tried to send a small file size jpg attachment, and it just spins, spins, spins, and then gives me the technical issue error. I have also tried to send a small file size PDF attachment, and the same thing happens. I sign onto my AOL account through Safari, and am able to send emails with attachments with no problems. So I have narrowed it down to an issue with Firefox.
