I received this threat message on the weekend. I am very concerned...

Start quote "FORWARD THIS MAIL TO WHOEVER IS IMPORTANT IN YOUR COMPANY AND CAN MAKE DECISION We are Lizard Squad. http://lmgtfy.com?q=Lizard+Squad Most importantly, We have launched largest DDOS attacks ever. Search for "Microsoft Xbox Live DDOS" All your servers will be DDoS-ed starting Tuesday (May 2nd) if you don't pay protection fee - exactly 10.08 Bitcoin at 1HeXFQAevvxiQQNKGECMLx6di66Vo8Sukr If you don't pay by Tuesday, attack will start, yours service going down permanently price to stop will increase to 20BTC and will go up 10BTC for everyday of attack. This is not a joke. Our attacks are extremely powerful - peak over 1Tbps per second. Do not reply, we will not read. Pay and we will know its you. AND YOU WILL NEVER AGAIN HEAR FROM US! Bitcoin is anonymous, nobody will ever know you cooperated." End quote.

Please immediately backup the site I have with your company and be please be ready to reinstate if the threat holds true and my site is deleted.... Thanks for your urgent action... Jack Henderson

This is a fake email from a copycat, and is being sent out in bulk. Do not pay. There is no evidence of this "Lizard Squad" following through on their threats. For more information, click here. Please note that this is the Firefox Support forums and that you should contact your hosting company in the case of this happening again. I would recommend that you look in to proactive protection, even if there is no threat, depending on what your site/company does.
