Last few days I've been pestered with "Unable to Update" popups. It says a recommended security and stability is available but I don't have system permissions required to install it. That's fine I'll install it manually. When I go to Firefox download page it says I already have the latest version. My Firefox version is 40.0.2 in the About page.

I already looked at these but they don't resolve my problem. My user agent string has not been modified.

Going to the Firefox download website it still says I have the latest version. Opening the About page doesn't seem to do anything.

Download the full installer anyway.

My company just pushed down the 40.0.3 update. That explains why I got the Unable to Update message (I'm not supposed to do it myself with my user account). But that still doesn't explain why the Firefox download page says I have the latest version when it is clearly I don't. I think there might be a bug somewhere in the version check code. Wondering if I should submit a bug ticket for this? Any advice?

I downloaded the installer and ran it. Trashed the old version and Bob's yer Uncle. Latest version confirmed.
