How to stop FF interrumping my sites by preventing other sites from appearing on the screens I browse?
[Dell Inspiron 560 desktop; MS Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64bit; Windows Live Mail 2012; MS Word Pro 2003; Mozilla Firefox 22.0]
Please someone tell me how to get rid of that strip across the top of my screen which says something like: Firefox has prevented a site to appear (or something to this effect) and at the right upper corner it says "Allow". Please please I don't want to read that and I don't want to have to go to that right upper corner to click on it all the time.
This is extremely annoying and do hope it can be stopped. Thanks ever so very much for any help. :o) Adela
P.S. I previously sent an appeal for help because I want to also get rid of 2 annoying FF doing (but forgot to enter my data):
1. Stop putting that password-window which I have to bother deleting all the time; and 2. Stop showing those open windows I keep in my taskbar which keep covering the sight of where I work on.

It is on the Add-ons page in Firefox, Plugins section. Where you find Shockwave Flash, there is a permission selector with three choices: Always Activate, Ask to Activate, Never Activate. What those mean are:
Always Activate: Any website can run Flash without further permission
Ask to Activate: Websites need permission to run Flash (you can allow just for the time being or save it permanently)
Never Activate: Firefox hides the Flash plugin from websites, they think you don't have it installed
If a plugin is on the block list, then Always Activate is grayed out.

Next time you get one of these, check the senders e-mail. Also check for an "op out", "unsubscribe"
One more thing. others have had issues, and it turns out there was an old version as well as the current one.
Type about:plugins<enter> in the address bar. Now search for the plug-in.
Example; Adobe Acrobat File: nppdf32.dll,nppdf32.dll Path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Reader 11.0\Reader\browser\nppdf32.dll,C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Reader 11.0\Reader\AIR\nppdf32.dll Version: 11.0.9.29 State: Enabled Adobe PDF Plug-In For Firefox and Netscape 11.0.9
Look at "path." Is there more then one program listed?

Hi Fred, you can update your Adobe Acrobat plugin to 11.0.11.18 from within Adobe Reader using the Help menu, Check for Updates.
That is just an example from my system long ago.
