Presumably you are using the standard USA build of Firefox en-US. POCKET For reasons best known to Mozilla staff (apparently an aim to promote Firefox accounts) it was decided that: Not only would a hobbled version of Pocket be integrated that does not use local saves, and does need and internet connection. But that it would be made dificult to continue using the Pocket Addon. Especially users on a slow internet connection or with expensive data rates will find the change a disadvantage, possibly even a costly change. There is at the moment a way round that tht may work: Install en-GB over the top of the US version. If you are interested in continuing to use the pocket addon that allows use offline see * My post in "''How do I completely remove Pocket (not just disable) ?''" [/questions/1065182#answer-739851] However Pocket has now (within the last few days) removed the recently updated, signed, fully functional and secure addon, so you are only able to continue to use it if you have retained your copy of the addon. There are alternatives methods and addons to Pocket, and Pocket is still available for Google Chrome. OTHER ADDONS Occasionally addons will be incompatible with new versions of Firefox. This is especially true of special and specialised ones such as the toolbars etc that are an optional extra with some security products. Such ''binaries'' are likely to need updating for each Firefox Release. BEWARE THE REFRESH Currently the Refresh option removes all your extensions and does not help you reinstall them. You will likely be invited to try this * After upgrades *If Firefox is known to be slow at starting up *If you have not used Firefox for long time.
