firefox will not open even after downloading upgrade

was working fine but now I can't open firefox. I get a box asking me if I want firefox to make changes to my computer. I had to change browsers

try to download from the next full installer link : https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/ (if you have not the latest 37.0.2) :-)

Hello americanheart, be sure that Firefox isn't set to run as Administrator.

Right-click Firefox shortcut > Properties > deselect evey item in Compatibility tab.

"Run this program in compatibility mode for:" [ ]

also make the same in firefox.exe program (in Firefox program folder)

  • C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\

What Windows OS do you have?

You need not run Firefox in compatibility mode for Windows XP (SP3), so make sure to remove this tick.
