Yesterday I could open mail.biz.rr.com but today I cannot open it. What do I do?
Today I get an error that says secure connection failed. It appears to be a TLS Error but I do not know how to fix it. This is for a customer computer that I recommended Firefox to. It was working great until today. I have tried it on two different computers with Firefox installed in two different locations. The page works fine from Internet Explorer (bleck) and Google Chrome (bleck again) Please tell me what I need to do to fix it. The computers in question are running Windows XP on one and Windows 8.1 on the other.
Chosen solution
The value of the pref only needs to be the domain name and not include other data (pref name and =):
- mail.biz.rr.com
You should only see the domain in the value column.

This is the page it takes me to.
This server uses a deprecated cipher suite that is no longer considered secure.
You can see that in the Web Console (Firefox/Tools > Web Developer)
This site makes use of a SHA-1 Certificate; it's recommended you use certificates with signature algorithms that use hash functions stronger than SHA-1.[Learn More]
You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar and use its search bar to locate this pref:
- security.tls.insecure_fallback_hosts
You can double-click the line to modify the pref and add the domain to this pref. If there are already websites in this list then add a comma and the new the domain (no spaces).
- security.tls.insecure_fallback_hosts = mail.biz.rr.com
You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar. You can accept the warning and click "I'll be careful" to continue.
Thank you cor-el for your response. I have done this and still cannot get to that webmail. I am posting a photo so you can see I did it right or tell me if I did it wrong. I did put a space between hosts and = and mail.biz.rr.com Please continue to help me if you can. This is a business customer of mine and I have migrated her away from IE for other reasons and don't want to take her backwards.
