It basically consists of your settings, extension, history, bookmarks, and etc." - you posted that 3 postings after cor-el said that wasn't advisable, due to differences between WinXP and Windows 8.1, and how the Roaming and App Data [and Local Settings] folders are laid out between Windows NT 5.0 (WinXP) and Windows NT 6.3 (Win8.1). That can mess-up certain extensions that store their own data in the Profile [or Local Settings Profile] folders.

The 3 separate buttons aren't available any longer, without installing an add-on. The ability to separate and / or move those buttons was removed from the default build Customize mode. There is some "user" code that can be used if you are familiar with using CSS to customize an application. https://userstyles.org/

Many users have installed this add-on to "restore" Fx29-Plus to look like Fx28 and earlier versions. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/classicthemerestorer/

With CTR installed you can move that 3-bar = Open Menu button into the Customize palette, and then use the contextual menu for the Toolbars to access Customize.

I have no problem with corrections, in fact I welcome advance however saying ignore people that just joined it basically bragging, hey they are a noob and know nothing. Plus I am doing this via Firefox andriod, it doesn't play nicely with the viewing of posts.

Sorry that you took it that way. After using various support fora over the last 17 years, I have learned who to "listen to" - the other users who have spent the most time using the application I was trying to get support for. Occasionally a "noob" as you put it, came up with the "answer" but usually the "veteran" had the answers I needed ro worked the best.

"We" can't "see" what type of device each contributor to a thread is using to view a questions thread, only the "Owners" initial posting shows that information. Over the years I had enough problems using a EeePC netbook with a 9" screen width [on a "job" with time to kill] to do support here while I was away from my desktop PC, that I wouldn't even try to use a hand-held device with screen smaller than 9".

Yeah I saw the "classic" theme restorer however I found it funny because they considered that version of firefox which has the little orange thing on the top left classic but I dislike that immensely, I'd rather my firefox look like just the picture I displayed in the original message.

I have stylish but I've only barely been able to mess around with it to change the layout of some of the sites I read, I'm not very computer savvy with it at all.

Do you know of any specific add-ons just for being able to give the back/forward/stop/refresh separate buttons? For example I know there's an add-on that moves the find bar at the top instead of the bottom, and nothing else. Wondering if anything like that exists.

Well that is a very old UI Firefox. However Classic theme restorer does have a variety of options. One of them is to remove the big annoying orange button. If you press alt, it returns the normal menu layout.

I found this at UserStyles,org for moving the Reload button to the left side of the Location Bar. https://userstyles.org/styles/101143/firefox-29-left-reload-button But nothing for the Stop and Go buttons. I also found this Style to make the "3 in 1" button stand out more. https://userstyles.org/styles/102129/firefox-reload-stop-go-button - Adds "more definition and highlight hover" to the combined Stop/ Go/ Reload button.

After doing 4 different searches there and looking at well over 200 UserStyles there (no filters for Firefox version numbers or other UI parameters), it looks like most of the posted Styles are for real old versions at the time other browsers were combining those "buttons" into one and users were posting what they did to combine into one button, long before Mozilla did that with Firefox.

Sorry, even the "themes" that I found which supposedly mimic Firefox 2 and Firefox 3 versions don't separate those buttons and / or make them movable and separate them.

Is this the kind-of UI layout you're looking for? Excuse the fact everything is a different color all together (that is another add-on I am using).

No I'm really quite comfortable with just this one:

Notice it has the back, forward, home, stop and refresh buttons all to the left side. Oh and of course stylish. Only the download list button and the grab-and-drag button should be on the right.

Well I believe you can drag the home icon anywhere you want with Customize. You can get movable back/forward button along with a movable reload button, with classic theme restorer. You are probably going to have to use combo of stylish and theme restorer to get it just right.

Classic Theme Restorer Features:

   Small navigation toolbar buttons
   Movable back-forward buttons
   Star button in location bar
   Combine stop & reload buttons
   Hide location bars stop & reload buttons
   Findbar on top or bottom
   'Icons & Text' and 'Text only' modes
   Replace context menu icons with labels (Back, Forward...)
   Toolbar settings to alter colors, sizes, borders
   Switch between old and new search

The guy who created Classic Theme Restorer considered Firefox 4.0 version [with that Application Button] to be the "classic" when he was creating that extension. The image that you are calling "classic" looks like Firefox 2.0 except for the Downloads button which didn't exist until a much later version of Firefox, along with the position of the Tabstrip "on top" which didn't happen until Firefox 4.0.

The closest you're gonna get to that is with the Classic Theme Restorer, which has a pref to not show the orange button. I can only assume that you haven't spent enough using that add-on to find the Classic Theme Restorer Options panel in the Tools menu or the Add-ons Manager tab = Application Button and tried using the Button disabled preference.

As far as the Stop and Reload buttons go with CTR, you can separate them when in Customize, but the the X has to be moved to the right of the Reload button; when the X is on the left the buttons merge into one button. Or separate then with another button.
