Was that a one off crash ?

Are you able to use Firefox now ok without crashing ? If you still get crashes would you paste in another couple of Crash IDs please.

  • Crash Signature: mozilla::net::nsHttpChannel::UpdateExpirationTime()
  • My comments, the signature does not seem a frequent crash
    • I will tag as escalate, apparently potentially a regression due to changes relating to catching older versions of Firefox.

Totally different signature but again not a very common one. This is not something where I am seeing clues I understand as to a possible workaround or solution.

All I can suggest at the moment is to fall back on to basic troubleshooting methods. can I ask you to try

Hopefully that will prevent the crashes, or will result in a crash signature that offers me a better clue as to the cause. If you do still crash in safe mode and with all plugins disabled please paste in another three or four crash IDs from those crashes.

A new profile, Windows safe mode, malware scans, and a clean reinstall are likely next steps.

Hi John99 and bibinvars,

Help Desk here to follow up on the escalation tag.

Since there are two different crash bugs I will talk about one at a time.

The first signature: mozilla::net::nsHttpChannel::UpdateExpirationTime() As John99 said this is not a frequent crash, so the results of your troubleshooting steps for Safe Mode will tell you if it is an add on affecting an update. Be sure to disable each of your add ons to find the culpruit if it does not crash in Save Mode

The second signature (WrappedNativeProtoMarker ) is associated with a bug that does not a have a pin point root cause. There was a hypothesis Timeless—I have Google Toolbar or Disqus but not flash. I wonder if it is potentially a script on the page being force stopped by Adblock or your Norton Antivirus. Can you please disable these an see if it crashes with the same signature?

If we can get a consistent crash signature we can add a stacktrace to a new bug or the bug that already exists in the second signature with these instructions https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/d.../How_to_get_a_stacktrace_for_a_bug_report

Looking forward to your troubleshooting results!

Could you try the suggestion I made earlier use Firefox in its safe mode with all plugins disabled does that prevent crashes ? If not then post a couple of Crash IDs from the crashes you get then.

One of those signatures does happen to be more common
