I have a very long list of filters and would like to have the list alphabetized. Is there a way other than "move to [I don't know--bottom? top?]. An alphabetized list would certainly help. Thanks,

Since updating to TB 153esr from the previous esr, I occasionally get a server authentication error with imap.gmail.com. Most often they happen when first starting up, but occasionally seem to happen at other times. They seem to be transient as gmail works fine otherwise.

Just wondering if this is a known bug?

Hello! I'm having a problem where a specific tag keeps un-applying itself. I have a number of filters that look for specific words in emails, and tag them accordingly -- all of my other filters are working just fine, but one specific one has decided to stop working. It has exactly the same settings as the other ones, and when I manually run the filter, it correctly applies the right tag.

But, minutes later, the tag will un-apply itself, and I cannot figure out why. For some reason, an older message is staying correctly tagged with that filter, but newer ones un-apply the tag. This same filter and tag used to work just fine. Other tags on emails from the same source work fine, too.

I’m looking for card body previews in the message list/card view, similar to seeing a short preview of the email body under the subject/sender. Is this feature currently available anywhere in Thunderbird?

If not, is it planned, and is there any estimated version or timeline for when it may be added?

I use emojis in email, but recipients report that the text of the email arrives covered with emojis. I thought it was a problem with the receiver until a second person just reported the same issue with an email I sent them. Both are gmail accounts . . .

Was kann ich tun? Habe Probleme mit mozilla. Bei derAuführung der Programme Thunderbird ( ständig ) und Firefox ( manchmal ) kommt es zu Abstürzen wie Programm keine Rückmeldung, einfrieren so das keine Eingaben mehr möglich sind und ich jedesmal das Programm schließen und neu starten muß.

I keep getting a message that says that the connection has timed out. Not sure why that's happening, but it's annoying. I have researched it some here, and changed a setting that is supposed affect that, and changed it to 2000, but it's still happening. What can I try next? Thanks

After new installation I want to use my profile of the former installation. In principle I followed the procedure of the article "An einem anderen Ort wiederherstellen". After that when starting thunderbird it always asks me to create a new account.

Does anyone know what is missing?

I'm using Thunderbird on Ubuntu 24 and have some messages in some mailboxes that have lost their headers. I'm trying to fix them.

Early (1980's command line mail & mailx) mbox files were pure text with messages delimited by a blank line followed by a line starting with 'From ' (or possibly 'From: '). When I open a Thunderbird mbox file in 'vi' it is 'converted', or so it says. I'm wondering what this 'conversion' is and why it's needed.

Please could someone tell me what the strict rule that delimits messages in a Thunderbird mbox file is, and what is it that 'vi' cannot handle that requires 'conversion'?

I'm trying to add an email account to Thunderbird that (seems to) require Oauth2 authentication, but it keeps opening the wrong provider in the Firefox window that it launches. The email account is a professional G-Suite address, but it always opens login.microsoft.com instead.

I've checked the MX record for the domain and it correctly lists Google servers, and my laptop was able to authenticate to the correct destination just fine. I have used my desktop for work before, which is all handled through Microsoft accounts, so I suspect that there's some kind of locally cached data which is identifying O365 as the provider, but I can't find any relevant settings or documentation from Firefox. I also cannot find any settings or controls for the Oauth provider in Thunderbird in order to force a Google workflow.

1. Can we white label Thunderbird? Is there a cost associated with it? 2. Is there a cost for the enterprise AI extension used on Thunderbird, and how secure is the user data from being exposed while using the extension? 3. For the Thunderbird enterprise, is there a cost attached to it?

I’m having trouble logging in to my Thunderbird account on my laptop. My password doesn’t work, and when I click “Log in,” I’m redirected to a website, but I still can’t access my account. It also seems like Thunderbird doesn’t recognize or find my account at all. Instead of allowing me to log in, I’m being told to join some kind of waitlist, which doesn’t make sense because I already have an account and need to access it. I urgently need to use my account for work, so I would really appreciate any help with recovering access and getting Thunderbird to recognize my existing account.

I've lost the ability to receive e-mail, Suddenly Thunderbird just quits on me with no warning. Apparently I can still send mail but cannot receive. This is the second time this has happened to me in as many months. How do I fix it? How do I prevent it?

Cannot receive and email because I am told by AVAST that the certificate for inbound.att.net has been revoked. I am not at all technical and at a loss as what to do. Please help! Thank you.

This morning I started getting this popup in lower right part of my screen every minute :

Mozilla ESR Thunderbird Connection to server inbound.att.net has been reset

It continues over and over as TB tries to get new messages.

Also, AVG Free antivirus is telling me it has identified a site certification problem. LOCATION: inbound.att.net (POP) Process: thunderbird.exe Detected by: Email Shield

In TB Help it says I'm currently on the esr uipdate channel .....whatever that means Whats the issue here? Can anyone help?
