I am not too sure what exactly causes this (I suspect long periods of inactivity/not interacting with the browser) but when I switch back to one of my firefox windows on my laptop's display (I have my laptop open and connected to an external monitor - so I use the monitor as my main display and my laptop as my secondary display) I get this black border/padding on the side/around my broswer.

See attached images - (might be hard to spot, focus on the sides of the screen). First image is how the browser normally looks like. The 2nd image is with the random black border/padding.

How do I stop this from happening? I've tried looking online for someone else havig the same issue but cannot seem to find anything.

The title bar, etc. is this really obnoxious blue and I'd like to change it to something else. I can't find the answer to this anywhere, except for "try themes," except those don't work either. I imagine there's a setting in about:config.

After a recent update, the bookmarks menu changed—when you click a certain line, it glows bright blue. I understand this is for ease of use while using bookmarks, but I'm used to leaving this menu open all the time, and after these changes, the blue glow is very distracting.

In light of this, I'd really like to know how to restore the old display, or, if that's not possible, I'd like to see special personalization settings for this type of thing in future updates.

I'm using W11 & Firefox/Mozilla 'Version 146.0 (64-bit)' in ‘Dark Theme’ - my sidebar bookmark in use is now 'highlighted in BRIGHT blue' which is VERY ANNOYING - can I get rid of this feature? Is there a way to adjust the highlight color/intensity? Please let me know. If there is no adjustment possible, please take care of this in your next version. Thanks, John

In firefox version 146, How do I change background color of the bar the tabs appear on? I don't want to change the tab color, but only the color of the toolbar where the tabs are located. I've tried several userchrome.css codes I found on the internet, but none of them work.

It all started with all my bookmarks in the sidebar turning white and only the little icon visible. I could still open them but I couldn't see them. I rebooted I refreshed to no avail. Then I lost my sidebar altogether, I went into settings and even with the sidebar option ticked, it didn't bring it back and there's no sidebar icon in the top right. My only access to bookmarks now is the bookmark drop down menu top right but this isn't all my bookmarks and its really inconvenient to use. This is the first time I've had ever had a problem with Firefox in 15 years of use. Any input would be appreciated.

Hi can you consider adding colour option (color) to Bookmarks and Folders. I've been using Firefox for so long my eyesight has deteriorated, so one of us has got really old :-)

i want to set randome images for background on about:home and about:newpage i dont want to use extensions because it adding "Extension (name)" text in searchbar, also it changes firefox image near "new tab" text. i tryed to make userContent.css in chrome folder in profiles but it can do only 1 image. i cant make JS working for randome images. How to make userChrome.js working or how to remove "Extension (name)" from searchbar?

The entire window of Firefox has an abnormally low resolution, makes the entire browser seems blurred. This issue occurs after I upgrade firefox to 146.0. I've attached a screenshot, and you can see the Firefox window has lower resolution than the wallpaper and task bar.

I have a chromebook with linux enabled and installed firefox according to mozilla's instruction - via the sudo get-apt command. The cursor changes from the default to a very small adwaita. I've spent hours googling this issue and everyone I've come across had used some third party repo or was trying to shove in their own custom cursor theme. Literally all I want is my regular cursor back, and I have no clue why mozilla would have a specifically set cursor for their browser instead of just having it default to os. I don't really know what I'm doing here, but I cannot begin to state how tired I am of messing with this dead-end issue.

Is there a way to hide bookmark names? I have several bookmarks that I keep in the bookmarks toolbar, and I can keep more links there only if I were able to hide bookmark names. I know what the link icon goes to, I just want the space without having to reduce the names of the bookmarks to a few letters. It would be even better if the name I set the bookmark to would appear when the mouse hovers over the link icon.

After the last Firefox update (146.0), my bookmarks bar only shows thumbnail images. The descriptive text which was previously black text on white back ground now appears to be white text on white background. (Whether my system is set to light theme or dark theme.) This happens on all of my Windows computers (both 10 and 11). How do I resolve this problem?
