I suddenly can no longer get my Gmail to appear in my Firefox browser. (I CAN get to +use Google.com, but when I try to go to https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0/#inbox", I just get a blank white page.) I did not (to my knowledge) change any settings or have some strange thing happen. Please help!

What changed to prevent youtube from working? It worked for as long as I have had your browser and two days ago... all of a sudden it doesn't... just freezes. I've done what you suggested... it didn't work I installed an extension yesterday and it worked yesterday... Now today... not working even with extension

Dear Mozilla, I have enjoyed Firefox and I always appreciated the vast headline stories recommended in the past. Recently, there seems to be a change where every recommended article requires a paid subscription, i.e. Slate Plus, I already pay WAPO, NYT, WSJ, San Diego Union Tribune, Arizona Republic that i cannot afford to pay each and every website. I would be very happy if you could tell me where in my settings i can set it to show only free articles or perhaps my screen could show a little green dollar sign saying if article was behind a paywall. thank you for your time in reading and assistance. when clicking on an icon that is going to send an email, Firefox defaults to Outlook. I do not have Outlook nor do I want it. I want Firefox to default to my Yahoo mail account. I checked the Settings/General/Applications window for the mailto option but it is not there. How can I change the default mail from Outlook to Yahoo in Firefox (using windows 11).

I can't always sign into my bank with Firefox but can with Safari. Sometime it works and other times it doesn't and I get an error message. If I switch to Safari, I never have a problem signing in. Can you tell me what's going on and how to fix it?

Also, I can't do health video calls with Firefox. I can see the person but they can't hear me. I've tried everything I know to do the get it working to no avail. However, if I do a Zoom teleconference, I generally don't have any problems. The problems come when my doctor's facility sets up the video call. I don't know what system they use, but it's odd that it only works partially (video and no sound). I can do the video calls on my cell phone with no problems. It's only with my desktop, which I prefer to use because the screen is much easier to view. Any ideas on how to fix this problem?

In all webpages, including Firefox settings pages, text appears like poorly chosen Cleartype settings. This does NOT apply to the menu and Address bars, nor the drop down options in "Which topic best describes your question?" that appears when asking a question here. Troubleshooting mode does NOT solve this, however switching profiles DOES, so I imagine there is a setting responsible for this however I've reset all font-related settings I could find. I've attached a screenshot of the result on this page. Choosing alternative fonts does NOT solve this.

FF is offering up possible login names for a particular site I have used previously even though I have removed all related browsing history, form data, and cookies (and cleared the cache). What am I missing? Is it using stored history for unrelated sites to guess at a user name, or is there some other hidden history I need to clear?

bold textI have created a new profile, uninstalled Firefox and reinstalled, flushed the DNS, always deleted cookies et al on closing. When I try and sign on I get a msg saying site unavailable, but when I go to the laptop sign on without any problems. Also on my desktop if I use Edge to logon to the site I am successful.

After updating firefox I got logged out of firefox, after logging back in no profile data is available. I lost all the saved passwords, setting, browsing history, all of it. I lost access to website's because of it. Tried copying data from 'profiles' folder but it does not work. Never had problem like this ever and I'm considering changing browser for good. It should have never happen, like wtf is this?!

I use Firefox for desktop in Windows, and I use Firefox on Android as well. I have enabled sync and signed into both browsers.

What I want to do is sort through the 50+ tabs that are open on my Android Firefox browser by opening them in my desktop Firefox session.

I am aware that I can open them one-by-one by following this how-to:

However, this is inconvenient: I want to open them *all* in one operation. This way, I can quickly bookmark them read them, and then confidently close all of my tabs in Android. (I have ADHD and this would help me a lot).

Is there an extension or option that would allow me to do that?

In Firefox's Task Manager, how do I know which tab is using which subframe(s) process?

For example, let's say I open Firefox and with only one single tab open, I open the following web page: https://audioplugin.deals/product/best-of-zampler-collection/

That page apparently includes content from several third-party websites because when I open it, Firefox's Task Manger shows processes for the following:

https://audioplugin.deals https://cloudflare.com https://google.com https://hcaptcha.com https://soundcloud.com https://stripe.com https://stripe.network https://stripecdn.com

The process for "https://audioplugin.deals" is the only process with a tab. All of the other processes are subframe(s) only, with no mention of which tab is using them.

With only one tab open, I intuitively know that all of these processes must be used by that one tab. But like most people, I browse using multiple tabs, and once you open multiple tabs, it becomes (as far as I can tell) impossible to determine which subframe(s) process is used by which tab. This makes it impossible to determine which tab is behaving improperly or erratically when there are issues (for example, when one of those subframe(s) processes is consuming an unreasonably large amount of memory or CPU cycles).

Firefox won't load google or youtube. In my gmail spam folder I keep getting emails stating "payment declined cloud storage full".

Firefox not responding. I have tried everything on the Help pages. I have tried reset of everything. I have uninstalled and reinstalled from scratch. Still: when I open it: Firefox does not respond. And everything else also is very slow then. In Windows joblist I can see Firefox with 7-15 threads. One of them "not responding". I have no problems with Chrome nor Edge - W11, 16GB Ram

I am just an average end user and want to alert you to my problems and would love a solution. I am sorry that I don't have the kind of specificity in the details which might help (I am too busy doing other things and when firefox becomes too much of a pain, I generally close it and switch to another browser). I am providing my general observations. On my updated windows 10 64 bit system, firefox v148 seems to have made the browser unusable for me. Other browsers do not suffer similarly (Chrome, Edge, Opera, duckduckgo). I have had these types of issues with Firefox in the past, but they resolved with prior updates. I am at the point of switching to another browser - I hate the thought of it, but Chrome seems to be the most stable and functional. Symptoms:

• Firefox browser and the computer gradually become slower as firefox starts hogging cpu and memory and starts using a lot of power
• extensions stop working - eg, Keeper extension stops filling fields or fills incorrectly, Malwarebytes extension seems less responsive, running background sounds makes things even worse (https://www.mynoise.net/) and web pages with continuous updates (eg, map.purpleair.com) stop working altogether
• other pages stop loading, load with errors ('bad connection') or load very slowly, especially, but not always, those with more security, eg, my bank or retirement funds sites.
• after i close Firefox and start fresh, symptoms resolve, then rinse and repeat.

The previous version worked great and seemed to solve similar issues I have had with earlier releases. I assume the last stable release for me was one of the 147 versions. but when things are going well (which is most of the time), I'm not watching closely, or at all.
