In Firefox, the close button is only partially clickable and is not accessible on the right side. However, when I hover over it, a square background appears around the button. Could you please take a look?

This worked correctly before the recent Firefox update; the problem appeared immediately after updating Firefox a week of so ago.

Firefox 153.0.3 does not save session when Firefox is closed

Since the latest Firefox update, Firefox no longer restores my open tabs after closing and restarting the browser.

Firefox version: 153.0.3 (64-bit) Operating system: Windows 11

My Firefox startup setting is enabled:

Open previous windows and tabs

However, this setting no longer works.

Steps to reproduce Start Firefox normally. Open several websites in separate tabs (I tested with 3–5 tabs). Close Firefox normally using the Firefox menu / Exit. Start Firefox again. Actual result

All previously open tabs are gone.

They are also NOT available under:

History → Recently Closed Tabs

There is no usable previous session to restore.

Troubleshooting

I repeated the same test in Firefox Troubleshoot Mode, with the same result.

Therefore this does not appear to be caused by an extension.

Session files

I checked the Firefox profile's sessionstore-backups folder.

The folder contains, among others:

previous.jsonlz4 recovery.jsonlz4 recovery.baklz4 several upgrade.jsonlz4-... files

After testing with several open tabs, the current recovery.jsonlz4 and recovery.baklz4 files were only about 2.4 KB in size.

This suggests that Firefox is not correctly saving the current browsing session when it is closed.

The problem started after a recent Firefox update. Before that update, session restore worked normally.

I would appreciate it if this could be investigated as a possible Session Restore regression in Firefox 153.0.3.

I don't know if it's because I don't have the latest version of Firefox. But I cannot find tab grouping. I have checked to see if there is an update, but I can't find any update at all so just wondering what's going on. the version of Firefox I'm using is: 153.0 (Build #2016172927)

Ich have an paid medium.com account and lately I can hardly the articles in Firefox. The typo is way to light. What goes wrong with medium.com in firefox? Settings: ""Allow websites to use their own fonts instead of the selection above" is activated. Windows 11, updated Firefox: Newest version. Other websites: look correct. Other browsers: no problem, it's just Firefox messing up something with the typo. How can I change this?

Hello! I'm working on migrating a very old version of Firefox to a newer version, and the number one thing I want to make sure stays is the logins file(s). I went to export the CSV, and the `about:logins` page is blank! Despite this, both the key and logins files are populated, and the browser still autofills in each login as if it wasn't there. To mitigate this, I tried to export the .csv of all my logins, but it doesn't actually export. I'm not sure how to check action logs with Firefox, and I would like to grab the passwords, so I can migrate properly. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you!

Hello. I remember, long ago, there was an extension, that kept the search engines sorted alphabetically (I had a lot of them), now I can't remember the name of the extension, not I can find an extension that does this.

For the last two or three weeks, when i open a tab that I have entered the URL for, a second tab opens right next to it advertising some service or advertising something. I don't know why this started and I don't know how to get rid of it

I have written about this before, but the problems have multiplied. I've been keeping track of all the sites that I can't access in Firefox, and over the last month or so alone, there have been 23 instances of this. Not only not being able to access actual websites, but other connectivity issues. Several examples:

First, my local newspaper e-Edition comes up in a huge format that is unreadable and cannot be made smaller. It works fine on the Brave browser.

Different example: My daughter sent me several different links over a few days on Facebook Messenger to Amazon products that I wanted to buy. Her message is there, but the link/photo isn't. This renders completely normally on Brave.

Some other examples are restaurant menus listed on the restaurant's website, a Word Search puzzle from the L.A. Times, financial websites in which I have accounts. The list is seemingly endless. My last attempt to get support for this problem did not lead to any fix. This all occurs whether or not my adBlockers are turned off.

As a Firefox user since its inception, I don't like having to go to another browser, but the situation has been getting more and more untenable.

I updated to version 153.03. As a habit, before I close firefox I always clear browsing data. After the update, when I click "clear" to clear browsing data, the website freezes every time. I have to force quit to exit the website. I have macbook, sequoia 15.7.3

It seems I can no longer set a link to open in same tab. There is a Government webskite that won't let me open a link in a new tab and I can no longer find a way to stop a link being opened in a new tab
