KINDLY KEEP BROWSER ACTIVE AFTER SWITHCHING OFF THE PC AND WHENEVER I OPEN THE PC MICROSOFT WINDOWS SHOWING SIGN OUT AND SIGNING AGAIN, BY DOING I DID IT BUT NO SOLUTION. IT HAS BEEN HAPPENING FROM FEW DAYS, I DID SYSTEM RESTORE BUT NO SOLUTION WAS FOUND.

I have tried MANY times to make Firefox remain persistent as my browser. It appears I should log into an Administrative account to do so. Microsoft Edge appears to be the problem by remaining the default. I was told by the Tech Sprt for my Asus laptop to "delete" Edge. I entered the Administrative account using DOS. So many changes have taken place since I last used this account that I'm uncomfortable trying to take this approach. I was led to an administrative directory using "search" end while there was able to get a directory listing using DOS. But can't proceed. I really need the Windows pictorial version to proceed or technical support (preferred). Whoever helps must be fully capable.

Asus TS said I must delete MS Edge. The person seemed capable, but if I delete Edge, which I haven't found a way to do so safely, that may create problems but makes sense to do so because of the interference of MS Edge. My memory on how to proceed is that this process was MUCH less complex. I've read a number accounts by others with the same problem. My reasons for using Firefox, as an private engineer are to help prevent the stealing of intellectual property from wherever. Otherwise I'll have to abandon everything.

More recently, for the past few months maybe, I sometimes get a white menubar when Firefox is in the forefront. Clicking on it will restore the menubar.

The iDrive backup app on my synology nas is accessed via a web browser over my local network using an ip address. It has a two step security setup. First to enter Synology credentials and then iDrive's. After entering the iDrive credentials, all I get is a spinning wheel. It is supposed to present a box to enter a validation code, sent to me by email (which I get). The box is never shown.

The process works in Chrome and Edge successfully. I contacted iDrive support and they told me that since it fails only in Firefox, that I should contact the browser vendor.

There is no error message.

I tried clearing my browser cache, restarting Firefox and my computer, none of which helped.

Please can you advise me?

I added the bing for the background on my computer; now I have somehow made it the browser when I open firefox and I want to remove it even if it means not having the backgrounds. I WANT FIREFOX AND NOT BING

I no longer see search suggestions when I start typing in the search bar. I still have "show search suggestions" checked in Settings, Search.

I should also ask: I don't remember how I enabled the old search bar, to the right of the address bar, mostly because I'm used to it. I don't see a box for it in Settings. What if I wanted to remove it? What if I then wanted it back?

Well, ok, one more. Also in Settings, Search, I see a drop-down list from which to choose my search engine, but no space to add a new one. Where's that? I've seen instructions to navigate to another search engine, but that can't be the way to do it. I normally wouldn't navigate to a search engine's page before searching.

Firefox is not working with Shopify. I have tried the following troubleshooting steps and I do see:

1. Update Firefox to the Latest Version Go to Menu (≡) > Help > About Firefox. This will automatically check for updates. Regular updates ensure compatibility with modern web apps like Shopify. 2. Clear Cache, Cookies, and Site Data Go to Menu (≡) > Settings > Privacy & Security. Under Cookies and Site Data, click Manage Data. Search for "Shopify" to delete only Shopify-related data, or use Clear Data to remove all cached data, which can resolve display issues in Admin. 3. Run Firefox in Troubleshoot Mode (Enhanced Safe Mode) Firefox 2024 includes a robust Troubleshoot Mode that disables extensions, custom settings, and themes, giving a clean environment. Go to Menu (≡) > Help > Troubleshoot Mode. Choose Restart in Troubleshoot Mode, then Open when prompted. If Shopify Admin works in this mode, an extension or setting is likely causing the issue. 4. Check for Incompatible Extensions and Privacy Add-ons Go to Menu (≡) > Add-ons and Themes > Extensions. Disable extensions, especially ad blockers, VPNs, and script blockers, which may conflict with Shopify's dynamic elements. Reload Shopify Admin after disabling each extension to pinpoint any issues. 5. Disable Enhanced Tracking Protection for Shopify Firefox’s Enhanced Tracking Protection may block essential cookies and scripts used by Shopify. Open Shopify Admin, click the shield icon next to the address bar, and select Turn off Enhanced Tracking Protection for This Site. 6. Disable Hardware Acceleration Some display issues stem from hardware acceleration conflicts. Go to Menu (≡) > Settings > General > Performance. Uncheck Use hardware acceleration when available and restart Firefox. 7. Use Firefox’s DevTools to Diagnose Errors Open Menu (≡) > Web Developer > Web Console or press Ctrl + Shift + K. Reload Shopify Admin to see if any errors or blocked elements are logged, which can provide insight into potential conflicts or missing resources. 8. Verify Network Security and Check Proxy/VPN Settings If your network includes a firewall or proxy, ensure that it allows secure access to all Shopify domains. Disable VPNs temporarily to check if they’re impacting Shopify Admin performance.

Running Firefox 133.0.3 on Windows 10 22H2

The last week or so, when I try to download my photos from iCloud, Firefox blocks the download, saying it contains a virus or malware. Of course it does not - it's a zip file of screenshots! Running a scan on the folder once unzipped confirms there is nothing malicious in it. Can you fix that please?

I'm using linux mint up to date 68.0.52, Firefox version 134.0.2 (64 bits) often when I open a local file, having the Panel process browse consola open, I get the the error: TypeError: this.toolbarButtons is undefined toolbox.js:4265:5 So I'm unable to see the web developer toolbar and just see a blank section on the lower part of my screen. I’m using Zen Version 1.11.2b (64-bit), and I’ve noticed a weird issue when using Gmail. When I try to start a new chat, the chat list doesn’t show up — it just kind of bugs out. I can only talk to people in chats that are already open.

A gretting, Luis Herdeth

The sidebar that shows the browsing history is a very convenient tool. However, now, after closing the window, the option is reset to the bookmarks bar. You have to select the browsing history again, which is very inconvenient. Is there any way to fix this?
