Firefox is updating 2-4 x/month while in use and has to be restarted. But my setting is on "Check for updates, but choose when to install". The last update recorded is listed as February 2026. So what gives? Thanks

I just updated Firefox to version 152. Now my bookmarks toolbar is broken. Can't open any site from that toolbar. Also,, the pinned sites and folders are scrambled one over the other on the left (see picture).

This is the reply I received from Protonmail: They say the latest version of Firefox caused the issue and is happening on other services as well. We have been using FF exclusively for decades and this is frustrating! Are you in fact working to resolve the issue on your end? Thank you.

I decided to switch back to "mainline". Opened Firefox after a while. Got a prompt to change my new tab wallpaper, I said no.

Closed and reopened Firefox. Then my new tab page was besmirched with "soccer" score nonsense.

What hidden/non-obvious setting do I need to change to have ALL of this and ANYTHING EVEN REMOTELY LIKE IT off FOREVER? I will never EVER want ANY suggestions for ANYTHING for the rest of time. I turned everything I could think of, including the labs or whatever off but this still came up.

after last update stop working .if I use ctrl v it will paste in. When i try using the mouse it doesn't have paste in the block that pops up.

I can click and paste in the condition box but not the description box.

If I use edge it works. I don't want to use edge

This happens even when I try to get to Mozilla.org!!

I'd never seen a Windows Security prompt when attempting to view saved passwords before, so I was confused when I saw it for the first time recently. I have a primary password set within Firefox, and I never enabled "Require device sign in to manage passwords" in settings. I also cannot disable this setting without entering my Windows password.

I was alarmed that this may be a malware symptom, as I'd recently connected to a new public wifi network. Is it a known issue for this setting to become enabled by itself? At the time of this issue, I was running 150.0.3. I have since updated to 152.

Good day! Just this afternoon, I started experiencing some strange behavior in my browser. Google asks me to solve a captcha every 15 minutes, and when I access services like YouTube Music or even Google Calendar, it asks me to enter my browser master password (I have it enabled), even though my Google account password isn't there.

I've updated my IP address three times, and everything works fine on another PC on the same network, as well as on my phone with the same browser.

The window doesn't always appear, but usually two or three times at a time.

I've also noticed a pattern: for example, on YouTube Music, video previews don't load until the window is closed.

I don't know what the issue might be, but updating to the latest version didn't help. This problem practically prevents me from using the browser. What should I do?

My Home page is a local HTML file featuring a CSS-based tabbed notebook holding links organized into various categories. When exiting FF, I always have this page as the active browser tab, so that on start-up it's still the active one in the event of multiple open browser tabs.

Until v151.0.4 (and still now with v152.0), if I exited FF with the active notebook tab (actually a styled radio button under the hood) in my CSS tabbed notebook something other than the first/leftmost tab, FF would restart with that being the active tab, but after a few seconds of CPU activity as the browser initialized the active notebook tab would switch to the first/leftmost one. (In my HTML I also have <input type="radio" name="tabs" checked> specified for this first/leftmost instance.)

Since the update, however, it remains stuck on the one from the last browser session as first displayed. I suppose I can live with this, but I do wonder what accounts for the change in behavior. If it's by design, where is it documented? If not ... maybe it calls for a bug report.

Today I got the Firefox message "Secure Connection Failed" when I composed and tried to send Yahoo email to a friend who I have corresponded with for several years. In addition, a few months ago I could not connect on a Televisit with my doctor when I clicked the link her office sent. Again I got the Firefox message "Secure Connection Failed."

I am a subscriber to Mozilla Relay that includes the "Phone Mask". I believe I correctly configured everything ages ago, but am feeling VERY FRUSTRATED whereby I am trying to purchase tickets for a local event and the SMS code (that expires in 15 seconds) sent to my mozilla phone mask is NOT getting to my iPhone. Isn't there an end-to-end test you all have to track down misconfigurations or other issues?

when i first logged into my firefox account from my new pc it worked but it didnt have any data like cookies bookmarks passwords i thought i might have logged into a account i dont use but when logged into a alt email i have those didnt have any data either so i deleted the alt account i accidentally opened i logged back into my normal account and shut down my computer since i wanted to leave it for another day

i remembered that i had my firefox account opened on my laptop so i decided to give it another shot turns out i was right the first time with the first email it just didnt sync well when i opened my new computer i saw that i was logged out of my account i tried to sign back in but it kept popping up with the same error every time "unexpected error" since then ive tried countless ways to log back in but it just doesnt seem to work any help would be appreciated
