I updated the iOS app today and it closed all my tabs in private browsing mode and will not keep any open. It also will not default to private browsing anymore even if I open a link from a private window. The help pages list settings that do not exist. Please advise

In other browsers, I can open a Facebook page to view information. I didn't use the Facebook app, not do I have an account. I just access contact information.

I tried Firefox settings to never open links in apps or ask first. That didn't change anything.

When I go to home button or search bar to visit a new web site it opens on a new tab instead of the current tab. I'd like to have the option to open it on the current tab, and dont go back to close the older tab everytime. Perhaps I coulnt find it in settings. Thank you

I use ClassicPress (fork of WordPress) and I have a problem when requesting a password reset link for it.

When opening the email received to reset password in the firefox dev edition browser and click the reset link I receive an error stating that the link is invalid.

I discovered by trial and error that copying the same link and pasting it manually in a new tab of the same firefox dev edition browser solves the issue because then the link is recognised as valid.

This happened after the update I received last week.

I am a linux mint user if that helps in tracking down the issue.

I am experiencing an issue where the Firefox browser on my Xiaomi Redmi 13C device running the HyperOS Android 14 operating system is consuming a very high amount of system resources, particularly CPU and RAM. This is causing my device to heat up significantly and draining the battery life at a faster rate.The specific problems I'm facing are: 1.Firefox requires special permissions and settings to function properly on my Xiaomi Redmi 13C device with HyperOS, such as exempting it from battery restrictions or granting it "autostart" permissions. I have struggled off an on for about a year since getting an M-series Mac with Firefox and memory load. This is an issue that I did not struggle with with the same RAM-Specc'd Intel alternative. I have received multiple out of memory errors the longer Firefox would run. I have done full clean installs of my machine (not restoring anything from backup) and gone so far as to up replacing the machine (though not for this specific issue only) that had double the RAM (32GB vs 16GB). I haven't yet begun to receive out of memory errors on this new machine, but I see the day coming.

I believe this is directly related to the number of tabs open, like they must not go to sleep. My concern is that with firefox running, over time (like a day or two) Firefox ends up consuming a little more than 10GB of RAM (peak observed so far). Quitting and reopening Firefox brings me down to 2.5-3 on the same tab count for a couple days.

My addons are all up to date, and I only have two (Firefox Multi-Account Containers, and NordPass for password management). I've removed Nord for troubleshooting purposes with no effect. I have changed to various versions and variations of firefox (meaning beta versions and the developer variation of the browser).

I have also used another browser entirely (MS Edge) for an extended amount of time with basically the same environment open. For comparison, same tabs, same amount of time open Edge uses 3GB RAM and upon restart jumps to 5GG Ram but settles back down to 3.

I am wanting to stay with Firefox. It's multi-container setup is the best there is (that I know of). I hate the idea of moving to another browser.
