Even changing parameters of config, when I switch back on old tabs these are refreshed ;

accessibility.blockautorefresh : true browser.tabs.unloadOnLowMemory : false browser.tabs.loadInBackground : false services.sync.prefs.sync.browser.tabs.loadInBackground : false browser.tabs.min_inactive_duration_before_unload : 2143483647 (max time allowed by FF)

It looks good if the tabs are pinned... They aren't refreshed when you click on again...

I've not been able to download anything on Firefox for about 3-4 weeks now. Every time I try to it immediately fails with no explanation given. The only type of download that works is "Save Image As..." Even trying to download a picture with a download button instead of right clicking nets an immediate fail. I feel like I've done everything to try and troubleshoot it myself, but nothing seems to be working.

I've restarted my computer, ran Firefox in troubleshoot mode, refreshed and reinstalled it, checked for viruses and malware, tried both nightly and ESR versions, tried running them as admin, logged out of my Firefox profile, cleared my cookies and cache, changed and reset the download folder, ran a repair for Visual C++, and reset my windows security settings. I'm honestly surprised nothing has worked.

The only thing that I know I haven't tried yet it refreshing my entire computer, but that's my very far last resort because I'm able to download files just fine on Microsoft Edge. Only the Firefox applications have given me any problems, so if I were to refresh my computer and have the problem still not be solved somehow I'd be deleting everything to get nowhere.

If anyone has any other ideas to try that be very much appreciated.

I have no idea how to fix a problem that just emerged in the last hour.

I can't download file attachments sent by email. Yesterday I could. I have been using Mozilla Firefox as my browser for more than 10 years. I tried restarting my computer that didn't help.

All of a sudden, I can't download any attachments, no matter what file type it is. I've reset Firefox to it's default, restarted, everything suggested. I don't have the first clue as to what this is.

For a week or better I have been unable to download anything through my Firefox browser, I have refreshed and uninstalled Firefox (I had to reinstall through another browser) in an attempt to fix this issue to no avail. I cannot download from verified sites, nor am I able to download Firefox's own extensions or themes (when I attempt I get an error telling me to check my connection, screenshot included).

I would like to be able to use Firefox normally again, with the ability to download files and install my extensions restored.

I tried redownloading Firefox after I saw that i was unable to download any extenstions/add-ons. Anytime i try to download something from the firefox browser, the download fails or gets cancelled. I never changed any settings, how can i fix this?

After installing Firefox on a new Windows 11 laptop, I've noticed some issues with the scroll bar. If I'm trying to view comments on Medium, for example, I am unable to scroll in the comments window as the main page scroll bar blocks it. I did not have this issue with Firefox on my previous Windows 11 laptop. I've tried changing some settings to see if it makes any difference with no success. I found a previous question regarding a similar issue where someone replied with a suggestion to toggle the "Always show scrollbar" option in the General > Browsing settings, however this option does not exist in my settings.

As seen in the attached screenshot, both scroll bars sometimes appear at the same time. However hovering the mouse over them activates the main windows scrollbar, making it impossible to scroll in the comments window. Trying to scroll the comments window with the keyboard arrow keys also does nothing.

I would really appreciate some advice on how I can fix this!

This has only recently happened but PDF comments are no longer displaying in OWA365 when using Firefox. I can open the same email in Edge and they are displayed fine. Strangely, if I go to print the PDF within Firefox, I can see the comments.

I've set my Application to open PDF with Adobe Acrobat Reader but this makes no difference. Is there anything else I can try?

I am a web dev and have a user download link to an excel xlsx file. On my own system it downloads fine in Chrome but in firefox ot displays the raw contents. Is this a FF setting?

As of a few days ago whenever I start Firefox the window appears with the Bookmarks sidebar panel already opened. I click the "X" on the sidebar and it will close - until the next time I start Firefox. If I choose Menu->View->Sidebar->Bookmarks and uncheck it the panel will close - until the next time I start Firefox. No matter how the Bookmarks sidebar is closed, it will always reappear when Firefox is restarted. Even if I switch to some other sidebar, Bookmarks will replace it on startup.

I've searched about:config and found no setting which seems to control sidebar behavior on startup.

I assume this is the result of some recent update. Is there no longer a way to permanently disable the Bookmarks sidebar?

When I open Firefox, it seems like it does not does anything, but then it starts playing a music I was hearing in youtube earlier (like it seems to me that the window is opened somewhere outside of my screen??

If I click a second time in Firefox, then it opens a normal window in my screen as usual, but the other one keeps playing in the back.

I've tried changing screen resolutions, checked that no other monitors were detected, restarted computer,

Not sure what to do next!

I want help to recover bookmarks and password saved on my Firefox browser.

There was a issue with my Windows 11, due to which I was not able to boot on to Windows, hence I don't have the option to export the profile etc. Due to this the only option for me was to copy all the data on C drive through cmd prompt. After having taken all data back, I have reinstalled windows and firefox.

I did some search on the internet to locate the profile files so that I can get back my bookmarks and passwords. However I am unable to locate the same.

Request some guidance and help on this.

Installed 127.0 (20240606181944) from http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/mozilla/openSUSE_Leap_15.5/ and since then I've been unable to:

• Close a window by closing the last tab (the last tab X does nothing)
• The toolbar Account icon has nothing under it, have to go via Settings to manually sync and manage account

Searches in Oregon always default to Seattle, even if I put an Oregon city in the search bar

Cannot locate any Oregon businesses or restaurants in oregon

Going to troubleshooting page deletes this entry Don’t know what else I can do

Firefox does not retain email login addresses for Fastmail email webpage.

I have used Firefox and Fastmail for many years and this has never been a problem. When I opened Fastmail previously and placed my curser on the email address box I was always presented with a choice of three or four email addresses. However now I am only presented with the first email address I entered since the Fastmail/Firefox upgrades.

I have contacted Fastmail about this and they suggested it might be a Firefox issue

i have made a major mistake trying to manage my bookmarks i need to delete all bookmarks and restore previous settings but every time i try to delete files or restore previous book marks firefox freezes. i have manged to copy bookmarks menu into other bookmarks and then copy other book marks back into bookmarks menu multiple times. have probably set a record for most book marks as i had over 1.3 million. i have managed to delete a lot of folder but i cant do anything with the ones i left without freezing
