How do I assign an icon to a pinned tab that has none?
A couple of my pinned tabs display a dotted square box in lieu of a graphical icon. Why is this happening, and how can I change it to display the icon that I'd like to see?

Hi,
You can not help that. The website that you pinned does not have a favicon which causes FF to show the default dotted square box. If you are in control of those websites or you know the person then ask them to install a favicon on the website.
See if this extension works for you.
The page that you to "pin" needs to be bookmarked, because that's where the Favicon you "change" is saved, with your bookmarks.
