Why does Thunderbird 31.0 not check for new articles in Blogs/RSS area?
Since updating, Thunderbird is not automatically checking and downloading messages from RSS feeds and blogs. It seems intermittent, sometimes it will, sometimes it won't despite it being set to check every 3 minutes.

perhaps it is the three minute cycle that is the issue. If you have many feeds, it may be that updating them and scanning for viruses is taking more than three minutes.

Matt, good thinking, but when i press SHIFT & F5 all feeds update in about 10 seconds so this is not the issue. When it does work, I can set the interval to 1 minute without problem. Thanks for your help.
