I have created several address books in Thunderbird for my contacts. How can I add all the names in a particular address book to one of the fields such as Bcc without having to add them individually?

I have added a contact on my Iphone. How long will it take to propagate to Thunderbird email on my windows laptop? Is there a way to force the check of updated/added contacts/email addresses?

I have just installed Thunderbird for my wife on Fedora. She is struggling because she relies on her program (formerly mac Mail) 'knowing' the addresses of contacts and autosuggesting when she types the first few letters. Obviously with a fresh install of TB, it doesn't 'know' any of her contacts. Is there a way to make it learn from the Sent Items folder? So that it auto adds all addresses she HAS SENT TO (in the past), to her contacts/address book? Thanks

I have installed Thunderbird with Zorin 18 and it won't show contacts. Google says that Thunderbird has full access to contacts. Attempt to manually add contacts fails with message of "Can't connect to server". I did have to manually add the calendar to make that part work. Is this an uninstall and reinstall (Thunderbird that is) situation?

When I try to send a new e-mail the address list which appeard on the left of the screen has now vanished and I am unable to Bcc several contacts with the same massage. Can someone tell me please how to get the list back on the screen when I select 'New Message' Thank you Bernard Solca

Recently, I needed to do a major upgrade to Fedora 43 so I did a full backup first for safety. After the upgrade, I needed to install Thunderbird to recover access to my email. For the first time in over 20 years, I had to re-enter the data for my various email accounts and now I find that my address book is gone. How can I locate the proper files in my backup and restore them while Thunderbird isn't running?

Somehow I have deleted the panel to the side of New Messages that I kept names of frequently emailed people. Now I have just a big page for a new message but no names. I have an address book with the names and email addresses but I have to look up anyone I want to send a message to. How do I get that panel backs to the New Message page?

I'm helping someone with their Thunderbird. She says her address book is dropping street addresses. We went through and found a number of contacts that she had updated but they now seem to be be simply name and e-mail address. The only thing I found was the majority of addresses are in the "Collected" group if that matters.

Any hints or tips on this?

How to create a new local address book? I clicked the tiny icon to the left of New Contact button and it opens a modal that appears to offer the option, but clicking any of the links does nothing, no response. Screenshot of modal attached.

Hello. It seems Thunderbird does not include avatars when I export the whole contacts book as a *.vcf file. Please, be so kind as to add this feature, preferably pictures larger than 96x96 px. Or maybe I missed this magic checkbox somewhere? Thanks.

I have been trying to add a new contact to Personal Address book. This process refuses to complete through the "New Contact" panel. However, I have Thunderbird set to add addresses from all sent emails to the address book, and if I send that same person an email, the email address does get added to contacts list.

I very rarely use the "Add Contact" process, so I don't know how long this fault has been present.

Any help please?

I've recently started using Thunderbird in place of Microsoft Outlook. I have also upgraded from Windows 10 to 11. Unfortunately, my mailing groups that I used in Outlook did not transfer as groups. I was able to import my contacts as a .csv file and I have now set these out in an Excel spreadsheet. My contacts are now in alaphabetic order so whilst I have the contact data such as emails, all of my previous mailing groups are now mixed together!

Is there any way that I can select either individal enties on my spreadsheet or maybe multiple entries and import them into a new address book?

Any ideas or experience would be very helpful.

I'm using Win11, TBird Version 145.0 (64-bit). I'd like to copy an address entry from one address book to another. I can MOVE the entry by dragging it from one book to the other, but I'm too stoopid to figure out how to duplicate the entry in the 2nd book. Help!
