On Windows 10 with 64-bit Firefox, after updating from version 144 to 145, some local HTTP-only servers stopped working and became inaccessible. When I enter http://<local server name>, after a few seconds it automatically changes to https://<local server name>, and since no HTTPS service is running, it ends with a “Server not found” page. It seems to be related to DNS — accessing http://<IP address> works fine.

I tried a clean installation with a new user profile, but it didn’t help. Downgrading to version 144 fixes the problem, but at the cost of losing the user profile (which is a disaster). I also tried to check the HTTP-only settings (which I’ve never modified), but that didn’t help either.

Is anyone else experiencing the same issue?

Hi -- I'm getting quite a few page crashes that seem mostly tied to YouTube, although not exclusively. I only recently swapped over to Firefox from Chrome because I was having similar crashing issues with that browser as well. This is after a fresh install of Windows 11 Pro and a number of different benchmark tests (no known issues with CPU, GPU, or RAM).

Since there are so many reports that all seem different, could someone help troubleshoot? I really can't tell if it's a browser problem, maybe something with my MOBO or PSU or other hardware.

I'm having trouble opening urls in a private window from the command line on Windows 11.

Firefox version: 144.0.2

Starting a new private window works fine with "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" -private-window

But doing: "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" -private-window "https://www.google.com"

just opens the link in the last selected window if the last window selected is non private it just opens the link there instead of a new or existing private window

I have also tried with no success: "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" -private "https://www.google.com"

I found 'chromeasia.com' autocompleting in the Firefox address bar upon typing 'ch'. I searched History for this and there was no sign of it. I cleared all history data, rebooted, ran a disk cleanup and find that 'chromeasia.com' stil autocompletes upon typing 'ch' in the address bar.

Any suggestions or advice on how to clear this would be warmly appreciated. Thanks. Stephen

My account has my primary email and it used to have my secondary email connected as well. I now want to create a new account with the secondary email so I can have another profile, so I deleted my secondary email from the manage accounts on my primary email. I ensured that this says it is removed on all devices and it is. But when I try to create a new account with that secondary email, I keep getting the error that I need to sign in my primary email and I am taken back to my profile with my primary email.

How can I fully detach my secondary email so that I can make a new account with it?

What goes wrong with a simple tracking request on the UPS website? Try my actual case with the following link: https://www.ups.com/track?tracknum=1ZA06B736800244687&loc=fi_FI&requester=QUIC%2F/ The response in Finnish is always: "Emme voi suorittaa seurantapyyntöäsi tällä hetkellä. Yritä myöhemmin uudelleen." A quick and dirty translation is: "We cannot execute your request right now. Try again later".

This is an everlasting problem. But try the exactly same link on Chrome or Edge, and it works fine.

Problem: Cannot clear history from Firefix Started with Menu and clear recent history. Looked everyplace there was information about history. Tried removing individual entries. Ran Malwarebytes. Dell XPS 8960 with Windows 11 less than one year old. No response with any steps I take. Also, there are no error messages. I am unable to clear history no matter which tools I use. No error messages. All the suggestions I tried had no effect. Used Troubleshoot Mode in Firefox.

Oddly, I tried my older Dell Inspiron 3650, with Windows 10, and clear history works like it should. 

Used Troubleshoot Mode in Firefox. So far, all the advice goes down the same path; history, clean recent history, manage history, etc.. Tried refreshing and today I deleted Firefox app and reloaded. No improvement. Results same with Verify Integrity > Task: checkIntegrity - Unable to fix corruption, places.sqlite will be replaced on next startup > Task: checkCoherence - The task queue was cleared by an error in another task. > Task: expire - The task queue was cleared by an error in another task. > Task: vacuum - The task queue was cleared by an error in another task. > Task: stats - The task queue was cleared by an error in another task. > Task: _refreshUI - The task queue was cleared by an error in another task. since the uptate to version 144.0.2 I have two problems. the first one is async streaming on platforms eg. youtube or netflix. The videos take a very long time to load. Even if a video has already preloaded and I skip to that area, the video takes an extremely long time to load again. The 2nd problem i have in livestreams eg. live-TV or twitch. The loading time is very long. It is so long that many livestreams are doesn't even able to start. So, it is no longer possible for me to watch livestreams on Firefox. what i've done to fix it: - I deactivated all Add-on's and deleted all browser Data - I made a new profile and deleted the old ones - I reinstalled Firefox

Nothing worked. so pls can you help me that I can use Firefox normally as usual? (sorry for my bad english, I'm from Germany)
