Why is Firefox constantly downloading updates? It seems it's updating multiple times a week. Is there something crucial that Mozilla developers are finding that needs fixing? I work in IT and I'm a software developer so I'm concerned that Mozilla finds it necessary to keep updating what seems to be too often. Can someone tell me why this is happening? Are there serious problems that need to be fixed quickly? I'm really curious.

Over the past few weeks I notice Firefox lagging in performance -- e.g., pages taking too long to load. Simple profiling tells me that most time seems to be going in "WebRender display list", and "DisplayList building". Sometimes, it is so slow that I have to use other browsers.

Trying to set up gmail 2 step verification, they insist I put in a Mozilla PIN. Never heard of it, got, or asked for it. So asking help gives zero relevant answers, they talk about pinning tabs, whatever that is... Does anyone know anything about these PINS? Where to get one, where to go if they think I have one? How to access it? Any help is appreciated.
