Increasingly, Firefox will not process routine actions, for example like signing in to a website with a password, and I have to use a different browser (Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge) to accomplish the task. There are other routine actions causing problems as well, but the bottom line is Firefox is losing its functionality and it is forcing me to use other browsers. I am sure you don't want to lose users in the browser wars, so maybe you will take this particular concern seriously, and actually respond to me so I know you are actually out there and taking complaints about Firefox browser performance with the appropriate concern and action regarding this issue.

My speeddial Amazon dial keeps sending me to Amazon.ca instead of Amazon.com. I have deleted the dial and entered https://www.amazon.com/ as the url but I get sent instead to Amazon.ca (Amazon Canada) I've tried setting the url using the "use open tab" but that doesn't work. I've restarted Firefox and created a new dial for Amazon but that didn't work. Help/about firefox tells me I'm using the latest version (131.0). My other speeddial dials are working correctly. I'm on Windows 10

I followed the instructions to backup my profile. I rebuilt my system. Now I'm trying to restore. I did the install and tried to bring back the backup profile, it didn't work or even see it. So I deleted the other profile and left the backup one that I put in the same location as instructed. Not only didn't it work, it wouldn't even open. I ran the uninstall and tried to reinstall, as the website said. Now it says it installed but hasn't. It no longer shows up in the programs under control panel and says: "Your Firefox profile cannot be loaded. It may be missing or inaccessible." So now I don't have Firefox at all.

I haven't been able to watch anything via a streaming service on Firefox for at least a month. This includes Netflix, Amazon, and a couple others, though YouTube continues to work just fine. It also doesn't work in Private Browsing, so I don't think it's the fault of my extensions.

  • In Netflix, I get the error code F7351
  • On Amazon, the error is 7131
  • On other sites, error codes sometimes appear and sometimes don't; usually, the video just won't load or loads in perpetuity

My internet connection is fine at home and fwiw, there doesn't seem to be a difference at my friends' house.

Looking in custom option for tool bar menu and they are not there. Normally they would be in the selections of icons to place in the top menu bar. But none of these extension icons are there, and thus far, I have not found them in the extension preferences either. These Icons are necessary to use these extensions. I have no clue what to do. Hi! I would like to turn off the Reviewer Checker drawer that appears when I visit Amazon because it keep crashing my browser. Unfortuntely, using the settings at the bottom of the Review Checker also crash my browser so I can't untoggle the "automatically show review checker" setting. I searched for review checker in the main browser settings but it didn't pop up.

Amazon is completely unusable and I'm too lazy to log into Amazon on Microsoft Edge instead. Please help!

In the last 1-2 weeks I experience severe freezing/jank when having multiple tabs open and switching between them. Previously, I didn't have any problem even with 30+ tabs.

After running the profiler with "Firefox" settings applied, I found that the "Parent Process" reports a "Jank" event for the duration of the freeze. See screenshoots attached.

After further testing, this seems to happen when scrolling the Tabs bar at the top. If I scroll the tabs using the new "List all tabs" button or if I use tab switching window, it doesn't happen.

A couple of weeks ago my Firefox desktop suddenly stopped loading images correctly. This is especially true for image-heavy websites like Tumblr. Images will either not load or only partially load. It takes several refreshes to get even 75% of images to load properly (including Shift+Ctrl+R). My Internet connection and speed are normal. Weirdly, other browsers loaded images fine at first, but now they're laggy, too? They still work better in comparison, though. And the Internet on my iPhone and iPad are perfectly fine.

I've tried all of these multiple times: Restarting my PC, Internet, and router. Disabling certain extensions (especially those for Tumblr and ad blockers). Restarting in Troubleshoot Mode without extensions. Reducing number of tabs.

I tried the different Profile trick I found Googling this issue to death, and it works, but I want to fix my default profile's issues if I can. Oh, and YouTube is insufferable to watch and crashes the browser, but I suspect that might have to do more with what YouTube's trying to do with ad blockers. Especially since Chrome isn't much better on that count (aside from the crashing).

Edit: This issue started occurring around the time I downloaded the last Firefox update before the latest one. I thought installing the latest one might solve the problem, but it didn't. This might just be a coincidence.
