On startup TB pops an error box up saying ' There is no email program associated to perform this action'. When dismissed TB continues to open normally. No other errors seen during operation.

I have checked my Win 10 Control Panel Apps options. TB is the email default. MailTo, file type .eml and all other settings I can see are set to TB as well.

Ever since the Cox-Yahoo migration I am finally getting emails in TB (few glitches). but emails/changes take several minutes to appear/update on my iPhone . My iPhone only option is for Fetch and the time is 15 Minutes..so I have to open the MAIL app and it will look for new/updated messages but it takes a good 2-3 MINUTES to appear. And if I delete a message on TB sometimes it never updates..any suggestions?

When I select "Sent" emails to review to see what I have sent. I find that Thunderbird will not show emails with attached files. (see image) To see what I have sent with attachments I have to select attachments. (see image)

I would think that I should see ALL the emails sent when first selecting "Sent".

I then should be able to view only sent emails with attachments when I select attachments.

Are my settings off or is this a bug in the software?

This problem started yesterday. Whenever I try to connect to a website, I'm met with an error saying "Secure Connection Failed", each time with a different error code. Dropout.tv gives me PR_END_OF_FILE_ERROR, Netflix gives me SSL_ERROR_RX_RECORD_TOO_LONG, DuckDuckGo gives SSL_ERROR_RX_UNEXPECTED_APPLICATION_DATA. This doesn't happen with any website owned by Google, such as YouTube, Google Docs, etc. I don’t know if there are any others that it manages to connect to, but those are the observations I've made. What can I do?

Thunderbird suddenly stopped working today,, can not receive emails or send emails. I can log directly into web client and emails are sitting there have confirmed settings with my hosting company and everything is working their end they have also confirmed the settings are correct in Thunderbird

When I launched Thunderbird this morning the right-hand-side panel is completely blank. The left hand side panel shows my folders and if there are any unread emails in them but the right hand side is just completely blank (as per attached image).

IMAP account on HostGator.

In the last 9 months or so, every once in a while (sometimes several times in a row!) when replying to a message, Thunderbird does not set the \Answered flag on the IMAP server.

I enabled IMAP logging and finally caught this happening. The reply is sent and copied to the Sent folder, as it should, but the original email is never flagged as \Answered.

I can't seem to see a pattern why Thunderbird skips this step, occasionally.

I visted a web site once and left after trying to watch a some movies without any success. Now my firefox are sending notification to my deasktop from this website. But the site is no longer opened in my browser. I tried to to run the antivirus but nothing was found. I checked for any extension and nothing as well. The notification are coming from the firefox itself and I dont know why. And I dont know how to stop it.

Starting a few months ago Tbird suddenly became noticeably slower, and it's only continued/possibly gotten worse, despite several version updates (which I was hoping would fix it). Currently I'm on version is 115.12.1 (64-bit)

I do have several accounts (all pop) and many folders, but nothing different than before the issue began.

I only have 2 add-ons enabled; Remove Duplicate Messages & SmartTemplates. I've of course disabled them and restarted TBird but it didn't help at all.

I've compacted and repaired all folders.

I've created additional folders to reduce the size of larger folders.

The only thing that helped a bit was troubleshoot mode, which definitely made it a bit better going from email to email and folder to folder, and especially with moving emails from one folder to another (which is usually very, very slow and I see it on the bottom saying "moving email 1 of 10 to folder xyz...moving email 2 of 10 to folder xyz...", even if they are simple/small emails). However, sending emails still took over 5 seconds (see screenshot attached), so that might be a separate issue.

In terms of sending emails, whenever I try to send any email it sits on the sending screen for several seconds or more. My internet is fine (2gb fiber, previously 1gb cable), speed tests max out at the 1gb my laptop can handle. Laptop is 2-3 years old high-end Eluktronics, with no other issues.

Given the above, and that troubleshoot mode did seem to help a bit (but straight out turning off add-ons didn't help), what can I try to adjust (while not in troubleshoot mode)?

In seeking a way to reduce the CPU & RAM usage, I read that perhaps turning on the Hardware Acceleration might help. And to do that, you must first de-select the default setting which says FF will use the best settings for my computer. Well, when I opened that section, neither one was checked! So, should I first try the default setting, and if that doesn't help, then try HA? I'd always heard not to use HA, for some reason, but I'm ready for trying anything that might help use less resources, and open webpages more consistently.

Which is the best setting to use, or neither one?

Its driving me crazy. When I select a group of Inbox emails, and delete them, it is taking forever. The window will display a "not responding" message, eventually clear that and then the emails are deleted. But it takes way too long. Windows 11, most recent update. Thunderbird, it just updated. I was on a Win 10 computer, same Thunderbird version and deleting took merely a blink to happen.

Win 10 has both VPN AND AV. Win 11 has neither. Help! Thank you,

Hi, the site "https://pixabay.com/" is suddently extremely slow with mozilla. The pictures don't showup or take many minutes before you can see them. Normally only white boxes show. The same site (pixabay) with the browser "Opera" works perfectly. I always use mozilla and since a short while it just doesn't work with pixabay (a site for royalty-free images).
