Hi, i just buy a ZTE OPEN from EBAY some days ago. Now i have this problem: when i try to check updatates manually from Device information -->software updates-->check for updates-->check now the system give me this message "There was an error while downloading the updates"

i've software version OPEN_EU_DEV_FF0S_V1.1.1B01

what's the problem?

p.s. i hope to upgrade to v 1.1 one day :)

I believe there is a known bug with that particular update that ZTE are working to fix at the moment.

hi tkn u for the answer. i tried that procedure yet but the problem is unchanged. I contact ZTE too for solve this problem but i get this sibylline answer:

"Dear Valued ZTE Customer, Thank you for contacting ZTE. End-users are advised not to upgrade their phone versions until the software is released formally. Regarding your inquiry, we would recommend that you'd better contact your network operator or dealer to consult. Because the updated is based on the demand of your local network operator or dealer, Should you require any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us!

Best Regards"

btw, i bought it in ebay and i don't think that my network operator is involved in this procedure (and i'm in italy too here zte open is not officially arrived yet)

Once ZTE have fixed the issue on their end they will roll out v1.1 and your phone will update.

I don't think you need to manually attempt to update using a non-official procedure.

v1.1 was released 2 weeks ago. ZTE have been working on the update. Hopefully it will come soon.

Thanks eddyc, but just to check this, I think Andria is running the latest software available (v1.1). Do you have the search bar on your home screen Andria? That is the most obvious change in v1.1 compared to v1.0. If you have the search bar on the home screen then you are running the very latest software.

Ok, thanks for clarifying. There is not currently a v1.1 update available for your device from ZTE, so you can safely ignore the error. If an update is available, you shouldn't have to manually check for it--it will show up in your notifications.
