Sgt-p7510 with ICS. Links do not work. Trying double tapping, holding, different timing, etc. Sometimes I get lucky but mostly not.

Problem seems worst with latest update.

Hi again Drdan123

Try forcing an update to FF 19 for Android as follows:

(the following is copied and pasted from: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-android-crashes-startup-how-fix )

  1. Open the Google Play Store application and tap on the search icon which looks like a magnifying glass.
  2. Type "Firefox" and tap on the magnifying glass search icon.
  3. Tap on Firefox and then tap on Update.

hopefully this will result in an upgrade to FF 19 which will fix your problems.

Cheers! ...Roland

Hi drdan123:

I have the exact same Samsung 10" tablet and link work fine in the sites I have tested with both Firefox 18 and 19 for Android running ICS.

Are there specific sites that don't work? If so please let us know which sites aren't working.

Cheers! ...Roland

Thanks for the fast reply. Something is strange...I have ff17.0 and it says there are no updates available yet you have the same machine and are up to 19. It does not matter what site I am at although it seems the smaller the link (small image or text) the more difficulty I have getting it to take. Note if the link is originally small making it larger with a tapping or 2 finger expansion does not help.

I also have the dolphin and android native browsers. Neither of them exhibits this strange characteristic.

I've always used and really like Firefox. Sure hope I can make it work.
