When firefox is launched: 8 tabs that were open months ago open as if it was the last session.

The tabs were open before the browser was put into private browsing mode. During browsing something caused an unexpected shut down or forced shut down. (I can't remember).

Now when ever Firefox is launched, the same 8 tabs open. All the settings are for a blank tab / not remember the last session.

I reinstalled firefox. I cleared the history (everything). It has been months.

  • The error has been found: open 'about:config'

reset this browser.startup.homepage The start up home page was shown as the regular mozila google thing in the user interface.
