I can not open a Word Doc, it says browser does not support frames

I tried to save the doc on a disk and also in documents on my computer, but it still would not open: It says: C:\DOCUME~1\Nancy\LOCALS~1\Temp\Motion for Summary Judgment (Final)(2)-1.doc could not be opened, because an unknown error occurred.

Try saving to disk first and then opening the file.

If I try asking it to open using Word Doc (default) It says the Path is not valid
