Is the Firefox Sync add-on necessary with Firefox 4?

In Firefox 3 versions, I used the Firefox Sync function available via the Firefox Sync add-on. I have migrated to Firefox 4 and added the Firefox Sync add-on out of ignorance and habit. However, it sounds like sync is already an integral part of Firefox 4 and I wonder whether I still need the Sync add-on in order to have the sync function. Please answer.

You do not need the Firefox Sync add-on in Firefox 4, the functionality is built into Firefox 4.
