All my emails are showing up on the task bar or whatever the top bar is called(the one where I usually get my inbox and address book) how do I turn this feature off?
All my read emails are showing on the top bar of my thunderbird. I have to scroll left past multipee tabs to get to my inbox. This just started recently and at the same time email replies started showing up under the original. can I turn these features off.

The setting that controls that behavior is found at <Settings | General | Reading & Display | Open messages in:> . You are probably set to "open in a new tab," but there are other options that you may like better.
You can close a tab manually by pressing <Ctrl+w>. You can go directly to the main Folders/message tab by pressing <Alt+1>.
