Despite setting Settings>permissions>autoplay to block, I still get annoying videos playing automatically.

Hi! I also have this problem, despite also using the recommended settings in config. It works perfectly on most sites, but

https://zettaflorence.com.au/#

autoplays and continues to autoplay on both Mac and Windows.

https://www.theage.com.au/

often has some autoplay videos if I use a Windows computer but they only play once. If I use a mac, no autoplay.

Hi, I recommend asking a new question for your issue.

Videos on the main page of https://www.theage.com.au/ are successfully blocked for me in Nightly (particularly, with your pref values). On https://zettaflorence.com.au/, animations/videos indeed run, but I don't think we are supposed to block them (since they are implemented not as <video> elements).

Hi, thank you for your answer. I don't think you finished the sentence about why we are not supposed to block videos like on the zetta florence page, I would love to know how they are implemented and why this means not blocking!

Oh, I didn't realize I needed to escape HTML tags... Updated the reply.

To reiterate, autoplay blocking is only supposed to work with <video> HTML elements, and the discussed page implements its animations differently.

Thank you! That gives me something to look at.
