The MacOS 10.5.8 is ancient as it was released August 13, 2009.

The last Firefox version to still run on macOS 10.5 was Firefox 16.0.2 released way back on October 26, 2012 as Firefox 17.0 required macOS 10.6 at minimum at the time till Firefox 48.0 required macOS 10.9 at minimum.

If this is a PowerPC then the old third-party TenFourFox project did support it for some time after until versions based on Firefox 24.0 ?.
