Junk and Spam folders from Gmail

I have a Gmail account, my mother has a Westnet account. On the webmail, they both have a junk folder and a spam folder. In Thunderbird, how do I get BOTH of these folders to come in, as per the webmail. Currently, I have to go to Gmail, and Mum to Westnet webmail, to check Spam, and it always has legitimate emails in there.

I tried to get Span folder, and now junk folder has disappeared.

I don't see a Junk folder in gmail webmail, just a Spam folder. If the account is IMAP, right-click the account in the Folder Pane, Subscribe, and check the box for Spam. POP accounts will only download the webmail Inbox.
