Hyperlinks giving bizarre yellow box in upper right.
I have a Dropbox Paper document that I use for my bookmarks. It lists the name of the site (with link attached) and hints as to my username/password for any given site I use.
For years, it has worked just fine, but trying to solve a different problem, something happened (in my settings?) that renders those hyperlinks non-working. When I click on, say Facebook, it formerly took me right to FB. NOW it gives me a weird yellow box in the upper right corner that says "about:blank" in the upper left of the box, and 3 white boxes at the lower right of the yellow box "Allow" "Deny" "Close." If I click on "Allow," I get a blank page. My navigation doesn't seem to recognize the links I've placed in the Doc.
A friend on FB posted a link to a YouTube video and when I clicked on that, I got the yellow box with the proper URL and a white box option to continue. I've tried to recreate that particular box, but, apparently, once it's accepted, it's OK from there on out.
I have tried deleting the link from the Paper Doc and reinstating it, and I still get the yellow box.
What have I done and how the heck do I get rid of that yellow box?

Addendum: In my settings, under TABS, I have checked both "Open links in tabs instead of new windows" and "When you open a link, image or media in a new tab, switch to it immediately"

Screenshot??? Hyperlinks giving bizarre yellow box in upper right of the Doc. Show this issue in another browser. Show the doc working in previous versions of Firefox. It works perfectly in Chrome. How can I show it working previously? I don't want to provide a screenshot, as it shows my personal user IDs & passwords.
I've been having problems with Firefox loading any and all web pages - it's slowed down tremendously - I was trying to fix that when I went into Troubleshoot Mode - and I could find no way to recover my settings. That's when this yellow box thing showed up.
I went to my other computer that doesn't have the yellow box problem and copied all its settings for the settings in this laptop. I still get the damn yellow box.
I am loath to try troubleshooting again, but I will.
OK - I don't get the yellow box in troubleshooting mode, but when I come back to FFox with all my settings, the yellow box is back - so I suppose it's one of the extensions I turned on. I'll eliminate them, one by one, to discover which one it is.
