You first need to verify the bookmarks on the original computer has them before doing sync again. And make sure to log off all devices when doing this. If you don't have access to the original computer that had the bookmark data then there's nothing that can be done. Sync isn't a backup method it only syncs data across devices/computer if you want to save them you need to go to the original device/computer and backup the book to import to another computer.
