Unable to login with corporate PKI smart card after certificate renewal

After the certificates on my corporate PKI smart card were renewed, I am no longer able to login to any of the web sites that used to work before.

The error I get in Firefox is:

An error occurred during a connection to XXXXXXXX. SSL peer was unable to negotiate an acceptable set of security parameters.

Error code: SSL_ERROR_HANDSHAKE_FAILURE_ALERT

This used to work fine before the certificates on my smart card were renewed.

The DLL file that accesses my smart card is loaded and functioning properly in Firefox under Security Devices.

In Chrome, everything still works fine, only Firefox is failing.
