One of 6 firefox windows has an = sign infront of it and the window is inacessible.

second Firefox window shows =G this window was open on Googlemail. Since this = sign appeared I am unable to access this window. Clicking on this window turns the = on or off but has no other effect. There are about 100 tabs in this window all of them unavailable.

Select that tab and post another screenshot.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Themes
  • do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Safe Mode start window
