How to fix messages not updating?
I have a strange problem with Thunderbird. I am getting an eternal "busy wheel" both on the cursor and also on the top tab that is titled "inbox". However, I can do everything in the program as normal without any slowness. I can navigate the menu, open and read messages, even write and send them.
However, none of my folders are updating with new messages. I can't send messages to archives, and new messages don't appear in my inbox. And when I send a message, I always get the error that says there was an error saving the message to Sent Mail. But the messages do get sent and received successfully.

does anything show in the activity manager (tools menu > activity manager)
