Do you currently have 'gmp' folders in the profile folder with the OpenH264 plugin?
You can use the button on the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page to go to the current Firefox profile folder or use the about:profiles page.
- Help -> Troubleshooting Information -> Profile Directory:
Windows: Show Folder; Linux: Open Directory; Mac: Show in Finder - http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox
Try to toggle DRM off/on to see if that makes Firefox (re)load DRM components.

Note that you can possibly use this OpenH264 plugin on Windows XP to play MP4 files.
Thank you for your reply. In the profile folder there are two 'gmp' folders:
1. gmp folder which is is empty, and 2. gmp-gmpopenh264 folder with these two files: gmpopenh264.dll and gmpopenh264.info
In the Options/Preferences -> Content there is no Play DRM option (and nothing related to DRM).
Will be waiting for your further advices.
