my sign in password for gmail is correct but Firefox keeps rejecting it
I already have a google account and password and I use that to sign in for Firefox sync but it keeps giving me "invalid password" error messages.

Firefox Sync is a separate service. You will need to create a Firefox Account to use Firefox Sync.

I figured it out, I changed my password recently and I needed to reset the one on firefox as well which I did and it worked.
