So I upgraded to windows 10 on release, but did not experience this issue until I got a Fury X installed. I moved up from a 7970+7950 to a Fury X+7950. The 7950 drives my secondary displays - a 4k, a 2k, and a portrait 1080p. The Fury X drives my very large 1080p TV.

when hardware accel is off, everything works, but no hardware accel on a 4k30hz is a nightmare. When I turn hardware acceleration on, it looks like the all white image I've uploaded... but only on monitors with the 7950. It doesn't crash, it just doesn't work. if I drag it to the fury monitor and maximize, it works. if I drag it back, it's white. The image below shows it working.

I've done the basics. I tried safe mode, all addons disabled, and even a complete wipe of firefox and profile, no sync, including %appdata% folder - this still occurs on a fresh install. my GFX drivers are up to date and were cleanly installed on release.

I tinkered around in about:config but can't really make sense of much without a ton of googling and nothing is working. I've been at this on and off a couple weeks and I'm officially at my wit's end.

I work in malware removal and onsite response and dabble in malware analysis - rest assured, we can rule out infection early on.

let me know if there is any info I can upload or paste and ANYTHING that might possibly work. I'm dying. my 4k is my browsing and reading display and firefox is my buddy and I refuse to transition to chrome because chrome for work crap.

Well, the nice TV display works, that is a plus. However this is not a good experience, both should work. Please first make sure that you are on version 40.0.3

You mentioned that you already tried a new profile and that this still happened. Does it happen with other programs?

Are there any changes if one driver is disabled vs the other?

If it ends up being driver specific, or just the combination I might recommend filing a bug in bugzilla.mozilla.org as well.

Firefox is totally up to date, 40.0.3

If I disable one driver, it also disables monitors - they use the same driver, and show up in devman as two videocards - disabling one disables the outputs plugged into those cards.

Firefox is the only application that experiences any issue. I have literally no other programs, browsers or otherwise, that experience this kind of behavior on my 4k or any specific display. It's pretty rough. I think the issue is specific to my combination and I'm really hoping someone has some ideas on a work around.

Is there a way to force firefox to render on a specific GPU in multi-GPU setups?
